Description: Gadfly, originally founded as Wargasm in Tehran, Iran by Homa Khoshnavaz, underwent a transformation upon relocating to Vancouver in 2018. With the addition of Nigel Young on drums and Peter Quelch on bass, the band crafted a frenetic fusion of classic metal and punk, infused with interesting Persian melodies. Their latest single, Spine Stabber, is a colossal three-piece composition, evoking the spirit of legendary seventies metal bands. With its extreme heaviness and the great instrumental work behind it, the song is more proof of Gadfly being a formidable force in Canada's thriving heavy music scene.
