Description: Vakara is a heavy rock band from Denver, Colorado. The band's songwriting encompasses lyrical topics and subjects which regularly deal with sorcery and fantasy, and their sound is a healthy fusion of classic hard rock, stoner rock and doom metal, all mingled in a seamless way. Vakara's stirring four-song EP, Mythos, which is pretty intense, bluesy and melodic, makes for a really great listen. The band effortlessly combines elements of grittiness and tunefulness, and the opening track, Valeria, is a prime specimen of their craft.
