Description: Abaddonia are an atmospheric, gloomy, and distinctive band which also has an intriguing narrative and an ideological perspective to go with their brutal death metal sound on their new five-track EP, Dawn of the Serpent. The entire EP offers a varied but consistent sound which lingers between the modern aspects of metalcore and a more old-school bent death metal melodicism. The band comment on the title track: "Mortifer, the hooded figure seen in all of our currently available artwork, is our symbol. He represents the end of the “natural order”, and the beginning of self-realization. The breaking away from what would be viewed as normal, and taking control of your surroundings. Dawn of the Serpent also serves as a conduit for the same ideology."
